RunRank Privacy Policy

RunRank ("the app", "we") is a running and fitness app that tracks your runs and awards ranks based on your activity. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Data we collect

• Account data — your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider), and the profile details you provide such as a display name.
• Fitness questionnaire — your answers during onboarding (e.g. running experience, typical pace and distance), used to calculate your starting rank.
• Run data — distance, duration, pace, elevation and start time of runs you record or log manually. When you use GPS tracking, your location is processed on your device to measure distance; we store the resulting run summary, not your route.
• Apple Health data — with your explicit permission, we read running workouts from Apple Health so you can import them and earn XP. Health data is used only to display and import your workouts. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing, and we never sell or share it with third parties.
• Purchase status — your subscription entitlement (active or not), processed by RevenueCat and Apple. We never see or store your payment details; payment is handled entirely by Apple.

How we use your data

• To operate the app: calculating XP and ranks, showing your progress, streaks and achievements.
• To display leaderboards: your display name, rank and XP total are visible to other users. Your email, health data and run details are not.
• To manage your subscription and unlock Pro features.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data for third-party advertising or tracking.

Where your data lives

Account, profile and run data are stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider). Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. Payments are processed by Apple. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own security and privacy commitments.

Data retention & deleting your account

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below — we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Children

RunRank is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update it here and revise the effective date above.
